An Efficient Fuzzy-Based Vaccine Distribution Using Blockchain Technology
The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges in the global healthcare system. With the exponential spread and high mortality rates of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines have become a global priority. This paper proposes an Ethereum blockchain-based solution for supply chain management to address issues of safety, security, and traceability of vaccines. The solution maps authorized distributors to transport smart containers and manage data related to COVID-19 vaccine distribution and delivery. Fuzzy-based temperature monitoring and optimal distance for vaccine delivery are employed to mitigate wastage and ensure better performance. The proposed solution can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain management system.
